edition 2023

The next Polish Foundryman’s Day took place on December 15, 2023. As part of the celebrations, an international technical and scientific conference was organized, the main theme of which was “Innovations in Foundry.”

The conference theme was based on the current market situation, which poses numerous technological, production, environmental, and financial challenges for foundries and their suppliers.

The foundry industry, as an energy-intensive industry, struggles with high raw material and energy prices. Difficulties in finding suitable staff and modernizing machinery are among the primary challenges facing this industry.

The conference focused primarily on the possibilities of modernizing and innovating solutions to reduce energy consumption, digitalization, changes in production processes for the production of increasingly demanding castings, and the implementation of the Industry 4.0 concept. Numerous presentations also highlighted a new, crucial issue requiring rapid responses and decisions from manufacturing companies: the carbon footprint.

The Polish Foundryman’s Day was organized under the patronage of the World Foundry Organization, partnered with the Euroguss Trade Fair, and media partners included the Foundry Planet website and the magazines Przegląd Odlewnictwa, Stal – Metale, Nowe Technologie, and dlaprodukcji.pl.

This event’s  sponsors were:
